Photos on history of Clarinda, IA First United Methodist Church

56º here in Clarinda, IA at 9:15 am Saturday as I start this.  Raining, has been raining off and on for last 24 hours.  Over an inch of rain in that time, so far.

Just completed - 1883

I will post some photos of the First United Methodist Church from history.  The photo at right shows the church shortly after it was built in 1883     Click on photo to enlarge.  When enlarged you can right click on the photo and save to your computer.

Taken sometime later with the Parsonage being built.

Taken sometime later - note spire has been removed
and this parsonage appears much closer to the church
.

Again, much later - note the front entrance has been
added to and the short spires are not on the corners

Many of these photos I found do not have any notation of dates taken.

Inside - Easter 1948

Front of chapel area - undated photo
