Last Sunday at the "Old Church"

82 degrees here in Clarinda, IA at 6:10 pm Sunday as I start this.  Bright sunshine all day.

This morning was last service in our "old" church in Clarinda.
So, was last time our choir will sing here.

After service we posed -- with director/organist Linda front and center.

These pictures below are from coffee afterwards.

Yesterday, Saturday evening, we drove down to Coin to their Fireman's fish & chicken dinner fundraiser.  Saw a few of the people who we did business with between 1974 and 1994 when we ran the grain elevator there.  Lots of new faces though, too.  Photo at left and below of people at that gathering.  Bottom photo of this set is of the Coin Community Center where the event was held.

Found this little fella growing under some of Phyllis' flowers at
the east end of our shop driveway.  Transplanted it out where it
might get some light -- might be a pine tree, will see.

Phyllis got 4 cherry tomato plants in the pots.

I buried quart juice bottles in the center with two 1/8" holes
drilled near the bottom -- she fills the bottles to water the plants.
Ate at the Chinese Buffet here in town after church today -- worked with the computer, copying some history of the church to get digitized to be sure it is not lost in the move to the new church building this week.  We will be helping move chairs, books and some of the kitchen stuff, at least the refrigerators and freezers tomorrow morning.  Will be helping again on Friday.  To hold service at the new building next Sunday -- even though there are things still being finished up.

Later, Lynn
