Halloween eve

81º here in La Feria, TX at 5:30 pm Monday - with winds 5 mph and gusts to 20 mph, humidity at 50% with 40% chance of rain tonight.

Spent the morning at doctors office for regular check-up.  Looks like have a few more years in us!

Then spent several hours shopping for supplies for the lunch tomorrow noon for Halloween party at the Rec Hall.
Got 15 lbs of the big hot-dogs for tomorrow
Also got some supplies for ourselves and Phyllis got some things for the Kenwood Association to stock the kitchen - cups, coffee, etc.

Working on the wall in the Texas room around the kitchen window.

Filled up gas at $2.139 at Sam's Club this evening and then stopped at Johnny's True Value Hardware store for some items.

No world series game tonight.  Watched until 12:30 am or so last night as the Houston team took their third game of the series.

GROANER’S CORNER:((  A guy goes into a bar. He's sitting on the stool, enjoying his drink when he hears, "You look great!" He looks around - there's nobody near him. He hears the voice again, "No really, you look terrific."  The guy looks around again. Nobody. He hears, "Is that a new shirt or something? Because you are absolutely glowing!" He then realizes that the voice is coming from a dish of nuts on the bar. "Hey," the guy calls to the bartender, "What's with the nuts?" "Oh," the bartender answers, "They're complimentary."

Kids have a greater need for speed than classroom computers can deliver.  Impatient to turn in his term paper, one restless student kept clicking the 'Print' command.  The printer started to churn out copy after copy of the kid’s ten-page report.  The topic?  'Save Our Trees.'

Q. Why is it so hard for women to find men that are sensitive, caring, and good-looking?
A. Because those men already have boyfriends.

73º at 9:30 pm - calm with 77% humidity as I finish this.

Later - Lynn
