Three days until moving to Texas!

31º in Clarinda, IA at 8:00 this Thursday morning.  Hoping with this light freeze the leaves will fall from the Ash tree over the shop building so I can clean that roof and gutters Saturday.
My grandmother Johnson and Aunt Emma

Clipping from the 1970's? with my Mother Pearl

Once again, found some old photos and a clipping from newspaper.  At right is my Grandmother Johnson, on the left, and my Aunt Emma on the right.

Don't know what year the newspaper clipping might be from, but expect in the 1970's or earlier.  Mom is with her sister Emma and three of her brothers.
Had to "Batch" the other day and this is my noon meal -  Fried green tomatoes, onions, carrots, lots of seasoning (oregano spice, celery salt, paprika, salt and pepper and other spices I found in the cabinet) apple, macaroni, and crumbled heal of bread.  Delicious.

Steve Miller, Joyce Tornholm, Mike Kurtz, ............
Last night we went to our last choir practice of this year and afterwards stayed a bit to celebrate Linda's birthday which happened last week while she was travelling in Europe.

Here is Linda waving at me, along with Deb Tronholm and Phyllis
Linda and Phyllis, with Phil Tornholm in the background.

Then, we went to our last square dance of the season with Circle 8 Square Dance Club.
They did some line dancing, and we even got to do several Round Dances!

Photo from yesterday at the new church building.  Starting to put the metal sides on the red-iron.  This metal will be covered with another material giving a final appearance of stone or mortar building.

Getting the deck all cleared off.  The hot tub will be the last thing this Saturday.

Moving the swing seat off the deck.  Did not use it much this year, and it is taking a beating from the weather.  Will have to do some scraping and re-finishing.

Well, to help unload the Food Bank Truck at the church after lunch, to go to Villisca this evening and eat at the fish/chicken buffet then play cards with Mary Jo and Oliver Herzberg afterwards.

Later, Lynn
