Sang in the Christmas Canticles Cantata

49 degrees here in La Feria, TX at 7:50 pm Sunday.  Forecast to be 41 degrees in the morning, which is a little cool for our area!

Thursday night we went to a two-hour choir practice at the First Methodist Church in Harlingen preparing for our Cantata which we performed this morning.  This was vocal and also a small orchestra.

Orchestra seated in front of the chorus.

Photo at left and below are from just before service started at the 9:00 am service.

We did the Christmas Canticles Cantata for both the Traditional Service CLICK HERE for YouTube of traditional service at 9 am and the Contemporary Service CLICK HERE for YouTube of Contemporary service  at 11 am at the First Methodist Church in Harlingen today.

Couple shots I captured off one of the videos.

Last Wednesday turned out I didn't get my two tooth-bridges permanently in place at the dentist office in Progresso, MX.  Had to return Thursday for the 2nd one to be put in after it was reworked.  At last, I am done for now---but Phyllis has another date on December 28th there.

Have plans to go to our Barbershop Chorus practice Tuesday afternoon in McAllen, TX and then after dropping off the three other carpool members to their park we will head toward Florida.  Plan to be at brother Darrell's Thursday afternoon after driving the roughly 1,300 mile trip.

Later, Lynn
