Back in the Rio Grande Valley

71º and overcast here in La Feria, TX at 11:15 am this Friday morning with high of 77º forecast.

We got back to our Texas home Wednesday about 4:15 pm after 420 miles of driving that day. Had put in 560 on Tuesday and 300 miles on Monday after attending the committal service that noon.

Photo at left is one I took from the video of Lin's Celebration of Life on Saturday.  Darrell & Jonathon performed with the Handbell Choir.

Yesterday Phyllis worked with the quilting ladies in the morning and in the afternoon we drove to McAllen, TX to pick up the red and black vests for the barbershop group Men & Women of A-Chord.

On the way back home we stopped at Doris Winter's place for a visit.  She is flying to Minnesota this evening to surprise her older sister for her 90th birthday this weekend, and be with some of her family for Christmas.

Some 59 residents of the park have signed up for the Christmas Dinner on Monday.  Phyllis & I will sing with the First Methodist Church of Harlingen Choir on Sunday morning and attend Christmas Eve service there that evening.

Merry Christmas to all.............and a Happy New Year.

Lynn
