Cool morning!

41º this morning!!!!   Glad we are heading south in a few weeks.  55º now at 9:30 am.

Had our first, of the new season, choir practice last night.  Took three quick, too quick, photos during practice -- maybe Phil Tornholm will appreciate that the only clear photo has him in it.

We are practicing in the unfinished all-purpose room at the new church.  Phyllis & I will only be able to sing one Sunday and then for the Dedication of the Building service on September 24th before we head south.

GROANER’S CORNER:(( A little girl, dressed in her Sunday best, was running as fast as she could, trying not to be late for Bible class. As she ran, she prayed, "Dear Lord, please don't let me be late! Dear Lord, please don't let me be late!" As she was running and praying, she tripped on a curb and fell, getting her clothes dirty and tearing her dress. She got up, brushed herself off, and started running again. Again, she prayed, "Dear Lord, please don't let me be late!...But don't shove me either!"

Boy Scouts from the city were on a camping trip. The mosquitoes were so fierce, the boys had to hide under their blankets to avoid being bitten. Then one of them saw some lightning bugs and said to his friend, "We might as well give up. They are coming after us with flashlights."
