three weeks on the road - now in Mountain City, Tennessee

79º here in Asheville, NC at 7:45 pm on Wednesday.  Beautiful sunshine all day!

I just looked at total of the photos I have been editing (straightening, lighting, deleting some, labeling) and find I took 892 photos since we got to Asheville.  Biltmore is quite photographical.  Has taken hours and I have many to go.  Todays bright sunshine was welcome change from the last two days of rain.

Well.....................it happened again.  Got interrupted by  supper, then someone insisted on playing Pegs & Jokers, then I was tired -- so never got back to this.

Is now 3:45 pm on Thursday and we are now in Mountain City, TN and it is 75º with spotty rain.  Rained in the night and early morning in Asheville, NC, but quit while we unhooked everything with the trailer and hooked it up to the pickup. Got here about 1:00 pm and had quite a time getting the RV Spot.  It is a little dumpy place a hundred yards or so behind the welcome center and the lady in the welcome center didn't seem to know much about it.  She said she had told some people who park in our spot to move their truck, but didn't know if they had done it.  They hadn't and a neighbor pounded on their door until they came out and moved their vehicle.  Then when we got in place and was hooking up couldn't find the water.  She came out and had a guy come---after digging around in the ground where he thought it should be he found the water--with a hookup like you would have going to a toilet stool.  We unhooked the neighbors water and used a Y to hook theirs back up and get ours hooked up.

Yesterday was a nice sunny day with temps in the lower 70's and low humidity.  After we did our "Behind the stairs" tour at 11 am (which was very interesting) we had some of the Biltmore ice cream and then spent several hours in the Conservatory of Biltmore.  Scads of wonderful flowers.

Here is a video of the several model trains that were in the Conservatory.
We are here in Mountain City to visit friends we made in Texas - and have heard them perform in Minnesota, Texas, and Iowa.  Kody and Mary Rachael Norris -- Click HERE for the Kody Norris Show

Have driven by their home after we ate lunch, and now have contacted her on phone and we will meet them for supper this evening, then go to their place tomorrow morning to be present when they put on WBCM - Radio Bristol's The Farm and Fun Time Noon show that is on the radio and also on Facebook.

You can listen at 11:00 am Central time HERE

A few more pictures from the Conservancy at Biltmore in Asheville, NC.

Will try to post again tomorroe.
