Starting our third week on this trip -- in Great Smoky Mountains National Park -- and Pigeon Forge, tn

91º with a "feel like' of 101º at 6;30 pm here in Pigeon Forge, TN

Had a nice drive southward into the Great Smoky Mountains National Park some 25 miles this morning.

We stopped at the visitors center at the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.  Only so many were allowed inside - with masks - and a long line was waiting for some to leave so more could enter.  We decided to drive on.

Saw this sign in the restroom at the Visitors Center.................

Stopped near the highest point, near 5,100 feet in elevation -- where it was a comfortable 68º and took several pictures.

As photo at left indicates, this was a very crooked
road - I rarely got out of third gear, both going
up and coming down the mountain.

After getting back down to the hot lower ground, we spent some time in this store in Pigeon Forge.

Ate a late afternoon lunch at Shoney's and then drove north to Sevierville, TN.
Washed the truck there from all the gunk that had accumulated every night from the trees in the park we were at the last four nights.

Drove by entrance to Dollywood on way back to the trailer this evening.
An interesting article I ran across - CLICK HERE

Later, Lynn
