92º with a "feel like" of 102º here in Clarinda, IA at 10:30 am Monday. Below are forecasts for several places where relatives live that I keep in touch with. Most of them hot -- just one not -- in Massachusetts.
On our first full day yesterday with our son's granddaughter, Jessica, we went to church. It is amazing the difference in energy someone has if they are over 70 years younger than us. Always on the move.
Our next-door neighbors to the west, Bob & Carol, have an above-ground swimming pool. Jessica spent time there last summer and was in it yesterday afternoon when it was rather warm here.
We drove to Des Moines on Saturday to meet with granddaughter Ashley and her husband Heath with son David and daughter Jessica. Had lunch with them and then Jessica came back to Clarinda with us for her week shadowing Grandma Great Phyllis.
