92º here in Clarinda, IA at 3:40 pm Monday with a "feel like" of 98º. Hot
Well, it looks like I haven't posted since returned from Callawaay, NE a couple weeks ago. Yesterday we returned from Starvy Creek Bluegrass Festival near Canton, Missouri.
We bought our 2012 Chevy Silverado pickup 11 years and 2 months ago when it had 2,400 miles on it. On this trip we turned 198,000 miles. Hope it lasts another couple years and another 40,000 miles.
Getting our chairs set to reserve a spot when we got to Starvy Creek on Sunday--center to the stage close enough to see well.
We listened to 25 hours of music from 14 bands over the 4 active days of the Festival. And, went to sleep in our trailer each night listening to Pickin' and Jamin' all around us.

When we arrived Monday they were being entertained by a gentleman singing and playing his guitar and telling background to his songs.
Since hallway was partially blocked with Don's wheelchair Vicki steadied onto Phyllis to get to the bathroom during break in Domino game
He was very congenial and visited with us a bit after his singing. He comes to the facility once a month.

With lots of rain and heat, the grass did grow while we were gone.
On July 4th we attended the hour and a half parade in New Market and also listened to the program by Sarah Davison and her High Road Band.
