85 degrees, windy at 1:45 pm Sunday here in Clarinda, IA.
Earlier rain had been forecast for last evening and overnight----but now predicted about 7 pm this evening and overnight.Have had some colorful sunsets last few nights.
Following church we drove down by the farm so Phyllis could see what I had been cutting the last few weeks. Will avoid going down there this week, hoping for some of the cuts on my left arm from the thorns and a bit of rash to heal up prior to this Friday.
Then I trimmed some of the dead small limbs from tree by driveway and then by the hedge near the deck. Also the larger bushes on the west side of the house and the taller branches of the rose bush in front of the house.
We haven't had the air conditioner on in the house since early September. With windows open in the evenings hear the crickets, etc. Makes me think of back when growing up in Custer County in Nebraska in the 1950's and early 1960's at our country house between Callaway and Oconto, Nebraska.
Later, LC
