77º here in Clarinda, IA at 6:45 pm Sunday. Windy, spotty rain has been predicted for today and most of the rest of the week, but nothing here so far.
Friday we drove to Atlantic, IA to the Cass County Hospital for 10 am surgery for Carpal Tunnel Release. Had originally been scheduled to have it done by the same surgeon here in Clarinda, but would not be able to get in until October 28th and we intend to leave for our winter home in Texas on the 29th. She wanted to see me a week or so after surgery so we were able to schedule it in Atlantic where she also does surgery. Will have follow-up
checkup with her here in Clarinda on the 28th.I have had no numbness or pain in fingers since surgery. Was put under, so did not watch them do the surgery as I had some 35years ago when had same surgery on that wrist in the old Clarinda Hospital with a different Surgeon. Dr. Chu (pronounced "Shoe") did it Endoscopically and had shown me on original consultation of two incisions no longer that 3/8th inch each. I will get to see the incisions tomorrow when I remove the wrap. To do only light work for several days and "if it hurts, stop doing what I am doing".
Here is a YouTube of this type of surgery Click HERE
I tied up the little back-yard windmill with used bicycle innertube to save wear on the wheel hub and axle for next 6 months. The flowers are really bright in color by the deck, and also the ones by the front door.
Our neighbor, down the road, Ann Wilson, reading Scripture this morning in church. We sang in choir, only had 8 people, including one tenor and one bass.
