At Ogemaw County Fair in West Branch, MI

This posting may be brief.  We are parked in driveway at Darlene Winslow;s, some 6 miles east of West Branch, MI  We are not in an area where our Verizon Phones work, so have no connection that way.  Am on WIFI of our friend Darlene Winslow so can post and message here.
Had full day of driving yesterday, some of it in hard rain, coming north on US 23 from Columbus, OH to West Branch, MI - some 347 miles.
This is in one of the buildings on the fair grounds where we visited with Darlene Winslow.  We had spent Monday driving east to Heath, OH where we had bought our recumbent trikes some 6 years ago and had Dave at Peddlars go through them.  Needed new chains, chain tubes, tires and other things.  Should run another 6 years now.  After leaving them off at 10:30 am we drove back to Columbus and spent much of the day at IKEA store.  Huge place with lots of things and ideas.  Was back to Heath at 5 pm when Dave and Susan had the trikes all re-built and then we stopped at a BBQ place there in Heath before heading back to Michelle's and played some final Peg & Joker games.

Darlene with the quilt she made this summer and the award she won for it at the fair.

Will spend time with Darlene until Friday morning before we head to the Upper Peninsula

Here is an interesting video made in May 2019 in conjunction with 150th anniversary at Promotory Point, Utah  CLICK HERE
GROANER'S CORNER:((  A little girl was given a tea set for her second birthday. It became one of her favorite toys, and when her mother went away for a few weeks to care for her sick aunt, the toddler loved to take her father a little cup of tea, which was just water really, while he was engrossed watching the news on TV. He sipped each "cup of tea" he was brought and lavished generous praise on the taste, leaving the little girl immensely proud.  Eventually the mother returned home and the father couldn't wait to show her how his little princess had been looking after him. On cue, the girl took him his "cup of tea" and he sipped it before praising it to the heavens.  The mother watched him drink it and said: "Did it ever occur to you that the only place she can reach to get water is the toilet?"
