Near Minden, Ontario

72 degrees and great weather.

Drove about 100 miles today from near Barrie, ON to near Minden, ON.  We are 16 kilometers from Haliburton, ON where Joyce and Kevin Dacey live.  Will be visiting with them the next few days.

Set up the grill and fixed boneless pork-chops (from Iowa) tonight, along with the huge
radishes, and tomatoes, and fried potatoes and 3-bean salad.  Not too many bugs and a quiet place.

Yesterday we drove almost 100 miles from near Barrie, ON to Sauble Beach, ON which is on the east coast of Lake Huron.   On way back stopped in a real big food store.  At right is a kiosk of many different types of bulk olives.

Huge fresh fish counter.

Flowers along the road.

We took the side roads to see all the farmsteads, etc.  There was an amazing variety of stuff being grown along that area.  Corn, soybeans were in the minority.  Hay, canola, onions, peas, green beans and other truck-garden type stuff.

While near the water of Georgian Bay we stopped at an area that had lots of bikes and people using a trail.  We did, too.

Water was a little more placid than it had been the morning before when we left Lake Erie at the Wood's place.

Quite a few people on the beach at Sauble Beach.

Couple of parrots talking to people.

Lots of "clothing" places.

After getting some walking in we headed back to our home.

Was amazed at some of the rock area (like southeast Missouri, or Colorado) on our drive today to near Haliburton, ON.  No corn or bean fields on this drive.

Will be joining our Texas neighbors Joyce & Kevin Dacey in Haliburton tomorrow and looking forward to a few days of their showing us around this area.

Later, Lynn

"Paint" by numbers - on the smartphone

Recent weeks I got into several apps of paint by numbers and Phyllis also picked up on it.  Our phones are tied together, so saved pictures...
