Warm, muggy Iowa weather

 85º with a "feel like" of 95º here in Clarinda, IA at 3:00 pm Monday.  Dumped 1/2 inch of rain from gauge this morning.  Humidity remains high.  Crops do look good in this area.

Well, what can we get into here.........haven't been doing a lot.

Took some pictures of the flowers......the photos never look as bright as it does in real life.

I drove down to the farm and looked things over.  There were some trees on the right of way of Highway 71 that they cut down, but didn't bulldoze out last winter like they did on our side of the fence, so I cut them back with the chain saw a little and put Tordon on the bark layer to kill the stumps.

Book I just finished

I just finished reading the 4th book of Peggy Rowe's.  She is mother to Mike Rowe that does a lot of the voices behind the Discovery Channel programs and had, for years, the "Dirty Jobs" searies.

Have read these earlier books - some are in Texas

Awaiting today one of Phyllis' classmates from Chicago who, with her husband, will be staying with us until Friday.  Their 1961 class is having a get together this Wednesday.

Well, there you have it.  Nothing too exciting going on here right now.
