Four great days of music, and back to Clarinda

Nice weather day.  Was 40º when we got up at our trailer in Fremont, NE this morning.  Was near 70 degrees this afternoon in Clarinda.  We had breakfast and then hooked up the trailer and drove down 77 towards Lincoln, then 50 and 75 to Highway 2 and on to Patty's where we dropped her off at her place near Shenandoah.  Got to the airport RV dump a little after 12 noon and cleaned the two tanks, ready to pull out again this Friday, this time towards Texas for the winter.

I ran my camera to video much of the time we were watching/listening to the music.  Over the 4 days they had quite a variety.  The usual guitars, banjos, mandolins, steel guitars, bass fiddles (the dog house) but also there were harmonicas, accordions,  flute, harpsichord, and a wide variety of players/singers.  There were 3 stages most of the time - one only started at 3 pm Friday - that were active from 9 am to past 11 pm for 4 days.  That adds up to a lot of time.  Most were 20 minute sessions, with a little time for the sound setup out of that.  My videos were not always the best for picture, but I am going to make audio from them to play in the pickup.  I have something over 50 hours of video to edit.

Their kitchen was off one corner of the main stage and there were no breaks for eating -- you just listened while you ate.  Quite a good variety of food.  We ate most meals there other than breakfast and a couple of suppers.

Today went over some areas of dried cracked seal on the roof and added some rubberized caulking.
Got one 30 lb. tank of propane for the trailer filled this afternoon and starting to figure how to load the trikes and all the stuff we will take to Texas.  Will leave this Friday.

Later, Lynn
