September almost here

75º here in Clarinda, IA - have had several spots of rain - dumped .15 " rain from gauge at 5:00 pm.
Even with spraying these things with 2-4D they keep growing.
Pulled almost a 5-gallon bucket full of the Prostate Spurge Weeds.

Besides our own few tomatoes, got some from friends!

What a meal!

Oak tree closest to street has a gazillion acorns on it.

Spent time in Omaha Monday, saw a lot of brown corn and bean fields, getting ready for harvest.  Also saw many that are solid green and still need some time.

Planning on going to this with our trailer Thursday thru Saturday

A three-year-old boy went with his dad to see a litter of kittens. On returning home, he breathlessly informed his mother, 'There were 2 boy kittens and 2 girl kittens.' 'How did you know?' his mother asked. 'Daddy picked them up and looked underneath,' he replied. 'I think it's printed on the bottom.'
