Rain in Iowa

73º and overcast here in Clarinda - another 1/2 inch rain overnight and more predicted today.

As we drove west from Marengo, IA to home last Monday we stopped and visited with friends we have made at some Bluegrass Festivals we have attended this summer - Harold and Elaine Brown - near Indianola, IA.

They are both 88 and have some health issues, but like to dance when they can at the festivals.

Harold built this underground house in the early 70's and all the buildings on the place.  We had a nice visit with them and went into Indianola to eat lunch and visit some more.  He did farm, but then ran a tiling, bulldozing business for years.  Now he rents out the ground and they enjoy life.

This was recently published as the way the new Bank Iowa building will look
This is the way it looked 2 weeks ago.  Today it is torn down
The bank is not in this building, but are/have been a block east
for many years now.  This building housed a bank many years ago.
Till later, Lynn
