Hot then cool

Yumpin' Yimini - been a while since I wrote.  60 degrees and very windy out at 9:40 am as I start this. Click on pictures to enlarge.
This was yesterday afternoon - top is outside temp, bottom
is inside temp.

Yesterday we, the Neher's, and Winslows drove south to San Benito to the Longhorn Cattle Company steak house for lunch.  Celebrating our and Neher's wedding anniversary this month as well as Harold and Phyllis' birthday this month.

Got the fan installed on the ceiling of the Texas room, though
don't have the lights all installed yet.

You probably couldn't tell it, but I had to leave and go to the last Spanish class of the year here at the RV Park.  It had been attended by as many as 20 people some weeks, but with so many leaving, there were only 5 of us today.  Rosie went over the year's lessons and found out what we should do after reviewing the first couple weeks this fall.

The other 4 classmates

Saturday was the last, of the season, breakfast.
Had a pretty good turnout, considering the number of people who have left the park.  Pat Smith left this morning, Servin's, Connelly's
Lola, and many others whose names I can't place right now have left.

Sunday evening was the last of 10 performances this winter of the barbershop group Men of A-Chord performing.  Photos at right and couple below are us waiting in separate building to warm up, line up and go to the risers in the main hall at Siesta Village RV, which is the last RV Park on 1015 as you head south to Progreso, MX

They provided ice cream and cake for the
singers and their wives after the concert.
We got to sit and visit a bit, still getting acquainted with the members of the group - and see their wives.

Friday was Red Hat day for the ladies, so 10 of us men
went to southern part of downtown La Feria to J C Wings for lunch

At lunch at J C Wings.  I ordered some fried dill pickles and shared.
Harold was really sure he did not like them!

Rest of the group at J C Wings

After the Spanish class this morning we drove to Harlingen to Gaddi's Pizza for the last, of the season bingo and pizza outing for the park.  Around 55 people came and Phyllis was in charge.  Handed out quite a few free buffet tickets as winnings of the Bingo games.

Saturday was our 55th wedding anniversary.  Today is my oldest brother Roger's 81st birthday.

GROANER’S CORNER:((
- Why is it that if someone tells you that there are 1 billion stars in the universe, you will believe it, but if someone tells you a wall has wet paint, you will have to touch it to be sure?

- If Fed Ex and UPS were to merge, would they call it FedUPs?

- Are Lipton Tea employees allowed to take coffee breaks?

- What hair color do they put on the drivers licenses of bald men?

- Why do they put pictures of criminals up in the Post Office? What are we supposed to do, write to them? Why don't they just put their pictures on the postage stamps so the mailmen could look for them while they delivered the mail?

- How much deeper would oceans be if sponges didn't live there?

- If it's true that we are here to help others, then what exactly are the others here for?

"Paint" by numbers - on the smartphone

Recent weeks I got into several apps of paint by numbers and Phyllis also picked up on it.  Our phones are tied together, so saved pictures...
