On Gold Wing Express music cruse to Cozumel, Mexico

81º here on Island of Cozumel, Mexico with mostly sunny skies.  Have been on Carnival Cruise Ship Valor since before noon Monday, boarding at Galveston, Texas.  I start this at 10:15 Wednesday, typing in the library on the ship while Phyllis and Patty are walking ashore to look around (and maybe shop?)  My Iliotibial Band Friction Syndrome of the left leg is still bothering me so electing to not do any extra walking.

Just getting to our room - girls on the veranda.
Our cabin located on Deck 7.  This sign by the elevators -- there were two sets of elevators, located far away from
each other.  But, amazingly, they knew where we were no matter which elevator we were at!  (YOU ARE HERE)

Last night we went to the 70's show in the big Ivanhoe Theater.  Think I am getting too old to enjoy these types of shows, but it was something different to do.

Later went to this comedy show.
We have a total of 7 different individuals or groups that we paid for private musical entertainment.  Some 250-300 are in our group. Listened to most of them twice yesterday and will here them again tonight, tomorrow night, and all day Friday when we are again "at sea".

Heading to our "formal dining" last evening.
Gold Wing boys Uncle Audey - getting some age on him, he
performed sitting down.  Lost his wife this last summer.

The boy's dad Bob - or Pops as they call him still performing.
Ship will move overnight to Progreso on west side of the Yucatan Peninsula for the day tomorrow.  After being at that port all day it will start back to Galveston.  We will have the music entertainment all day Friday -- should disembark Saturday morning shortly after 8 am.

GROANER’S CORNER:((  Two Jewish businessmen meet in a restaurant for a lunch suggested by one of them.  The first says, "I have a good deal for you. When I was in Florida, I went to the town where the circus stays during the winter. I happened to pick up an elephant. I could let you have it for a thousand dollars."  The other businessman sipped his martini and said, "What are you, crazy? What am I going to do with an elephant? I live in a condo. I barely have room for my furniture. I can't even squeeze in an end table. So I'm going to buy an elephant?"  The first businessman said, "I could let you have three of them for two grand."  "Oh," said the other, "now you're talking!"

Deep within a forest a little turtle began to climb a tree. After hours of effort he reached the top, jumped into the air waving his front legs and crashed to the ground. After recovering, he slowly climbed the tree again, jumped, and fell to the ground.  The turtle tried again and again while a couple of birds sitting on a branch watched his sad efforts. Finally, the female bird turned to her mate.  “Dear,” she chirped, “I think it's time to tell him he's adopted.”
