80º with "feel like" of 86º at 10:00 pm Wednesday. Dumped .1" rain from gauage today.
Found out I could "tow" the lawn mower about 20 feet using a cable and a "come-along" down in the railroad cut last week. Saw the standing water but didn't look too bad----was bad.Our neighbor to the west of us clearing out place where he had had a smaller shed and is now going to put in a bigger one. Tried helping him find the pipe buried as a property marker with a metal detector, but no luck. He is getting someone to come in and try to locate it. He wants to put this bigger shed close to the line. Won't be a problem with us, but down the road with new owners on either side could be.

Well, we leave the house a little after 7 in the morning to start our next three days of day, and evening-long working the Glenn Miller Festival, telling people where to go--or at least doing "ushering", including taking tickets and getting everybody seated in the right place at the right time.
Oh yes, today is my 83rd birthday! I was looking through some of our "official" papers and ran across copy of my birth certificate -- born at 11:30 pm, 2 miles south of Callaway, Nebraska on June 10, 1943. And, discovered my birth certificate has my middle name as Carrol, not Carroll as I have had everything noted my whole life. Driver's license, Social Security, any legal papers requiring middle name, etc. Guess I will just leave things alone.
Will try to post this Sunday, if we survive. Lynn Carrol Miles
