Cool weather in May here in southwest Iowa

62 degrees at with heavy overcast at 4:22 pm on Monday -- with 100% chance of rain tomorrow.  Was in the 40's several mornings lately.

Sunday we sang with the combined choirs of the Clarinda First United Methodist Church and the Clarinda Westminster Presbyterian Church - singing at the 8:45 am service at Methodist and the 10:30 am service at Westminster.  Went well and I was able to edit the videos from both services and convert our three songs to an MP3 file to listen to off the flash drive in the pickup.

.

Drove out on Herron Hill to Nancy & Scott Brown's place last week to harvest some Rhubarb.  Phyllis cooked up a good cobbler, which we are still working on.

She made a great Taco for lunch Sunday.

After mowing the lawn this morning, I used air compressor to blow it all off and clean the air cleaner.  Then worked on greasing it.  For first time ever (have had this mower since 2007) I was able to reach underneath to grease a universal joint I have never gotten to before.  I do take it every other year to dealer I bought it from and he goes through everything, including that particular grease zerk.

While in greasing mode, I took apart the Arrow Hensley hitch stabilizer on the travel trailer and greased it.

Did some more tree trimming - getting the dead stuff out of bottom of two trees on east side of our property and cleaned up some of the trimmings from under tree north of the shop.

Phyllis is working on getting her Clarinda High School Class of 1962 together in September.  Has sent out e-mails, getting corrections on some of them, and getting snail-mail addresses to send out letter to many of them who we don't have email addresses.

Am learning the title I put on the blog each time makes a difference.  I routinely have only 5 to 10 readers.  However, when I labelled the one "At the 10th Annual Little Roy & Lizzy Music Festival"...it had 582 reads.  Then I labeled one "Bands at the Little Roy & Lizzy Music Show" and it had 388 reads.  Most of the time we aren't at name brand places.

More another time, LC
