81º here in Clarinda, IA at 5:32 pm Sunday afternoon and has been a very windy day. I rode the recumbent trike 5.3 miles this morning and even with the bright sunshine and warm temperature it was comfortable with the strong south wind.
Today is June 6th and it is 77 years since D Day in World War II. It is also the 114th year since my mom, Pearl Miles, was born; and, 87 years since she and Kermit Miles, my dad, were married in Kearney, NE. Time goes on.
We walked around and looked at all vehicles and visited with several people. There was a parade at 6 pm, but we did not return for it. Being a very hot day, it just seemed easier not to attend.
Hedge across the north side of our back yard is really blooming --- and hundreds of bumble bees are on it all the time.
Only one bloom on the peony bush not moved from the front yard. |
A few blossoms on the trellis behind the garage. |
A cop breaks up a fight by two invisible men. As the crowd gathers, he shouts, "Move along, folks. There's nothing to see here!"

So Moses is up on Mount Sinai and he says to God, "God, do I ever have a pounding headache!" And God says, "Here, take these two tablets."
