Great weather in the Rio Grande Valley

67º here in La Feria, TX at 8:10 pm Wednesday evening.  Great weather last few days.  We do need rain, though -- local weatherman said tonight that no measurable precipitation has been in the valley since the first of September.

Had a pest show up in the house, so went under the shower area (where he was seen) below the mobile home.  Didn't really find place where the varmint appeared to come up under floor, but did some plugging up of small holes and left some rat poison out.

Showing new location of Dish on back porch roof.

Old water heater, ready to go to pickup.  Got whole $6 at salvage yard in Mercedes.

When Dish man was needing to put up ladder by this cactus, I trimmed the ones I could reach from ground.  Have to get out ladder and do the top.

Couple of old ladies at Walmart.  Neighbor Darlene Winslow, who we picked up at Harlingen Airport on Monday, got groceries to stock up her house.

Them checking out.

Monday we went to Mexico and I spent 5.5 hours in dentist's chair.  Stopped at Nana's in Weslaco late afternoon for meal.  Great place for Mexican food.

We are still eating tomatoes from Clarinda.  Brought a lot of green ones, and they are ripening on ledge in the Texas Sunroom.

Got the birdbath put back in front yard.

And............today I painted the tub in the background a blue color.  Phyllis is setting flower pots in the tub..

Quite a few people are indicating they will be here in the next 10 days or so.  People in the park are planning an outdoor Thanksgiving dinner since we cannot occupy the Rec Hall when the office is not open and they only 10 people can be inside at a time.

Later, Lynn
