Another usual day at home

71º with heavy overcast skies here in Clarinda, IA at 6:00 pm on Friday.

Cutting on the hedge, reached the east end today and discovered a small patch of blue wildflowers in a really small area behind our trees, hedge, and the neighbor's trees.

This piece of the hedge hadn't been trimmed in years and also the patch of flowering somethings was really overgrown also.

Really colorful sunset
but, of course, the camera
doesn't catch what the
eye sees.

Thursday we walked a block and a half, or so to a neighbors estate sale.

Look at all the asshats without face masks.  Only saw maybe 5 people with masks.  And they were not keeping space between them by and large. We left after only 5 or 10 minutes.

Last couple days I have been doing something I have promised myself to do -- scanning slides and old photographs.  Have a ton of them to do (in fact, I took a couple small boxes of photos to Texas the last couple winters and didn't do it there) and will try to get them caught up.

Here are just a few of the photos.
I scanned a ton of slides including
trips to Florida in the '70's, to Michigan-including
crossing Lake Michigan on a big Ferry, to Colorado, and lots of other pictures.

Were Cam and I ever really
this young?

This brings a lot of memories
from Christmas of
1966.

Darrell, where you ever this young?

Dad in his office in
the new south
addition.

Dad and Uncle Jack.  Not sure who the lady is.

A year ago today I was on the operating table in the Heart Hospital in Lincoln, presumebably to get a stint in my heart.  Exploration showed it to be more serious and called for open-heart surgery on June 4th for a 4-way bypass.

Maybe more another time - Lynn

"Paint" by numbers - on the smartphone

Recent weeks I got into several apps of paint by numbers and Phyllis also picked up on it.  Our phones are tied together, so saved pictures...
