Cold

Temp 31.1º and raining here in La Feria at 8:30 Tuesday morning.  Seems bitterly cold, but compared to up north guess not so bad.  Channel 4 said last night our normal low for this date is 42º with normal high of 70º.  Haven't seen the sun for nearly a week now and that makes it dreary.

Son Cameron sent this photo of his dashboard as he started
to drive to work this morning from Maringo, IA
Flowers on wheels - now in the Texas Room

Putting Christmas tree away for the year

Tree box in storage area of my shop.
Played cards here at our place last evening with neighbors Finkens and Winslows.
Craft Show this morning at the Rec Hall and Bluegrass Jam this afternoon, so Phyllis is busy down at her office.  I will head out to McAllen at noon for barbershop chorus practice.

GROANER’S CORNER:(( Three retirees, each with a hearing loss, were taking a walk one fine March day.  One remarked to the other, "Windy, ain't it?"  "No," the second man replied, "It's Thursday."  And the third man chimed in, "So am I. Let's have a coke."

On New Year's Eve, Ann stood up in the local pub and said that it was time to get ready.  At the stroke of midnight, she wanted every husband to be standing next to the one person who made his life worth living.  As the clock struck - the bartender was almost crushed to death.

Stay warm, Lynn
