First weekend in June - 2017

80º here in Clarinda, IA at 9:00 pm as I start this on Friday evening.  Still enjoying the no-sound of either the furnace or the air conditioner run.  With all the trees for shade and our being situated on a hill we catch any breeze.  --- Click on photos to enlarge.

Have a bit of an unusual chair.  I found a 3-legged wooden chair in the dumpster in Kenwood RV; cut off the 3 legs and brought it to Clarinda.  Had a metal-frame with wicker back and seat that were all broken out.  Cut the upright metal frame down and bolted the
chair to the frame.  Might look a bit strange, but works!
Have been using the BBQ grill

Eating out on the deck most days - needed the umbrella this day.

Eating on deck this evening - not bright sunshine at 7 pm, didn't put up umbrella
Have been working on trimming the hedge along the back of our property.
Felt something on my arm -- little fella just looked at me.

Put the little fella down on a leaf.

Forget the name of this thing on the deck table

Close-up of  one of the flowers.
Tomorrow is Cruizin' Clarinda (Click Here   Or Here )with cars on display around the square in the afternoon and then parade at 6:00 pm.  Plan on attending.  City-wide yard sale tomorrow, have a few items, but not setting up anything.  Working most days on cleaning up the shop and putting up ceiling and insulation.
Have spent most mornings copying more photos and history stories on the Methodist Church here in Clarinda.  If you are interested in reading any of them, just click on the listing you want at the upper right of this page under "Blog Archive".

Later, Lynn
