At Elkhart, TX on way from La Feria, TX to Clarinda, IA

68° here in Elkhart, Texas - bright sunny day.  Krista pulled a 12 hour shift working at the hospital, will be home after 7 pm.  Russ and the kids are here at home.

Last look at our flowering Alovera  plant and cactuses

last day of March, 2016

Early morning of
April 1, 2016 - loaded
and ready to roll.

Friday, April 1st, driving north from
Harlingen, TX on 77
Lots of flowers along
highway.

On April 2nd saw
these blue bonnets.

 Friday, yesterday, we drove to
Columbus, Texas which is
on Interstate 10 west
of Houston.
Ate supper at a restaurant in town and
then got a Passport America RV Park
just east of town for overnight.
This morning drove to Russ & Krista Heuer's place near Elkhart, TX.  As you can see, we are letting the flowers and tomato plant have sun.

Set up just south of their house.

Thursday evening we had gone
out with neighbors Winslows and
Finkens to Nana's Taquira Mexican Food
place n Weslaco, TX

I think, of the
six of us, we had
four different mexican
dishes -- all excellent.

Thursday morning I took the
tomato cage down and
picked all the red and
green tomatoes.
  Saved
one plant in a planter to
put in pickup to take to
Clarinda.

Frame without the
front.

Evidence of the tomato
frame all gone.

 Here
at Heuer's found that Russ
had completely remodeled their
place in the kitchen and living room
as well as adding a laundry addition
and added on to bathroom and
added a big walk-in closet
to the master bedroom.

We ran in a lot of wind yesterday and some rain.  Nice weather today and we came up from Columbus, TX to Elkhart via all back-roads.  Lots of scenery and places to see on the way.  Will stay here overnight and be on way tomorrow after noon to a Passport American RV Park in northern Texas.

Later, Lynn
