Our last few days in Mexico 2016

76° in La Feria, TX at 11 am this Sunday morning as I start this - predicted high - 90°  Have turned on AC (for first time in weeks).

Will give a little more on our recent trip into Mexico.  This photo is in San Miguel de Allende, Guanajuato, Mexico March 9, 2016 at breakfast.

After breakfast we loaded up for touring in San Miguel de Allende and drive back to Mexico City.

Juan arranged to take us
on a private tour of this Five Diamond
(not Star) hotel in San Miguel de Allende.  Juan said it took some doing to get this tour of this very upscale place.

The hotel is not fancy, and if you didn't know you were looking for a hotel, you might mistake the outside for an apartment building, etc.

It did have quite an
inner courtyard.
 Base of
the fountain
shown above.

Quite a lot of
murals and statuary.

Grand staircase - we
were only allowed
access to the ground floor.
You can see the many pictures we
took of this place by CLICKING HERE

An up-scale gift
shop was very interesting
to visit.

More of the
gift shop.

Phyllis bought
an item from
this young clerk
at the Artesana Boutique
Petrapack Mediano
Decorado

This is the pitcher
Phyllis bought.
Cost 860 Peso
($50)  It is
a hand done ceramic,
one-of-a-kind

Leaving San Miguel de Allenti, we drove to
Atotonilco El Alto, Jalisco, Mexico to the  Sanctuary of Atotonilco In

This is just in the entryway.
This entire church, including
several wings to side, is
completely covered with murals
and statuary.

 I took many photos
and you can see them within this
 Google Photos site CLICK HERE

This is one of those places where photos cannot convey what you see in person.

If you go to my Google Photo site (above) be sure and click on the  ! that is in the white circle and you will get a side-menu that gives whatever I wrote as a comment and the date and time photo taken.

Several signs were
around to be quiet,
any conversations
were as whispers.

Patty, myself, and Juan
as we left one wing.

Leaving this area we drove south to Mexico City with a stop at Querétaro City, Querétaro, Mexico where we ate lunch and had time to view the town square.

I will make another post for that segment of the trip.

Later, Lynn
