Interesting pictures

We visited this unusual cemetery setting near Hiawatha, KS several years ago. CLICK HERE   It is only a few miles from our Texas neighbors' Hiawatha, Kansas home.

Fascinating old photos.

Visiting the Marengo family

32 degrees in Clarinda at 8:15 am Tuesday.  Got snow yesterday afternoon.

Spent an enjoyable weekend visiting at our son's place in Marengo, IA.  Both his girls came to their place as well as our grand son-in-law,  great granddaughter and her new younger brother.

Jessica got read a lot of books.

Great grandson David got held a lot.

With some imagination, Jessica took us on some magic carpet rides.

Got some four-generation photos taken.

On way home Sunday we stopped for a visit with dear long-time friend Mary Jo Herzberg in Villisca.

Hoping this snow/cold won't last too long.  I am uncomfortable when the temperature drops into the 60's so will like to see some warmer weather.

Home

43º here in Clarinda, IA at 10:30 am on Thursday.  Was 30º when I got up this morning.

Rainy for couple days

Spotted in parking lot at Orschelns farm supply store here in Clarinda the other day.  Guess this is SouthWest Iowa Hillbilly fix!

No Mexican lawn workers here like at our place in the Valley.  At least this year we were home early enough that it wasn't terribly overgrown.

Son Cam & wife Patty were here last Saturday and Sunday.

The Peony plants we transplanted last fall are all doing fine as well as the two new Lilac bushes.

Phyllis putting flower pots back in front of picture window.

Lots of sticks to pick up all over lawn from the numerous trees we have.

Didn't have to put much back on deck this spring.

The old Lilac bush is just starting to bloom.

Till another time - Lynn

Labor Day 2026 over
