78º here in Clarinda, IA at 10:40 am Sunday. Had 1.25" rain overnight with lots of lightning, thunder and wind, but no hail here. Some 30 miles north of us had tennis ball sized hail.
Another series of storms are to move through starting later this afternoon.

With the threat
of hail and high winds
last night I covered the
four tomato plants.
Uncovered them today
and will re-cover for
tonight's storms.
Wednesday we had a small gathering for supper from the combined Methodist & Presbyterian Church choirs. End of season. This next Sunday the combined choirs will sing at both churches, one at 9:00 service and one at 10:30 service. We will be at church in Cape Girardeau, MO though, so will miss.
Peonies are finally blossoming.
From the Peonie garden.
Plan to be in Omaha Monday to pick up replacement axle for the trailer, get it installed along with wheel bearings packed on Tuesday and pull out of here Thursday morning. Will stop for visit and early lunch with LaRhoda Neher near Hiawatha, KS then on to Back Forty Bluegrass Campground west of Bowling Green, MO. Will stay that night in trailer and then leave it and be with brother Don & Vicki Friday thru Monday morning before returning to the trailer. Have some site-seeing to do in Hannibal, MO and the Back Forty Bluegrass Festival starts Thursday through Sunday morning.
