Bright Sunshine in Clarinda, IA

86º with bright sunshine here in Clarinda, IA at 5:42 pm.

Sitting under a cloudy sky
We had 25 hours of music over four days by 12 bands an a make-up group to finish Saturday night.  22 of those hours were in sunshine with either clear skies or partly cloudy skies.
Many left with the rain, others hunkered down

The last three hours were in an off and on drizzle rain.  It would drizzle, then let up and be fine for a while and start again.

The MC's said as long as it didn't start lightening they would go on.  Some of the crowd left but we, and many others stayed with rain coats and umbrella.

Adding a little protection from the misty rain.
There was such a variety of stories through the songs, as most Bluegrass is.  One guy said it was either about Moms, Lost Love, Trains or Prison -- but many a story was told other than those.

We paid $15 per night for our "Hotel" spot, ate only one meal a day away from the trailer, and had a fine time.  And $80 per person for the whole 4 days of entertainment.
