Busy, busy in the Rio Grande Valley

83 degrees with "feel like" of 89 degrees -- little sultry here in La Feria, TX at 1:15 pm Thursday.

Had a pretty good turnout for Bean Bag Baseball last Thursday.

Though we were short several chorus members, we had a veery successful performance on Sunday night at Casa Del Sol in Donna, TX.

We had a good practice session in McAllen on Tuesday with the barbershop group Men & Women of A-Chord.

Phyllis participated in the Kenwood Resident's
Association Meeting Monday.  She is filling
in as Treasurer for Sharlene Stivers who
couldn't make it to Texas this winter.

Got Patty's trike in storage
for the summer.

Monday noon we went to Mr. Gatti's Pizza in Weslaco with about 30 other Kenwood residents for a bit of bingo and then the Pizza and Salad bar.

He had his young daughters
with him do a few songs. This is his 12 year old.

Last night we had potluck supper.

Dave Gilmore, in blue/green shirt at the right,
has been in and out of the hospital several
times this winter.  He is feeling much better
now and hopes he is through with the hospital
stuff.

This is the cantata we are working on to perform on Palm Sunday.  Will be having an extra half-hour practice the next few practices and then a 2-hour practice with the 5-piece orchestra on Saturday morning the 23rd.

This morning I went and picked up Pizzas at Cici's Pizza here in La Feria and the Care & Share ladies and spouses had a pizza lunch.  They will be working with quilts just one more Thursday this season.

Was looking at mileage book for our pickup.  We have driven 7,789 miles since we arrived here last November.  2,600 of them was the drive to and from Florida in December, so have travelled here in the valley 5,189 miles.  Lot of going and coming.
