Settled in at Kenwood RV Park

58 degrees in Clarinda, IA and 74 degrees in La Feria, TX where I am now at 2:30 pm Thursday.  Highs predicted in the 80's for the next few days and in the 90's here next Tuesday.

On our drive Saturday, Sunday and Monday on the way down, Monday was the only day we had a little sunshine.  Before it came out there were several hours of heavy, roiling clowds.

These bugs were on the side of the shop building near the travel trailer in Clarinda.

I suppose some of those bugs are in the photo at right in our travel trailer, taken in the bottom of a small cupbard that we keep canned goods in.  Found them when we were parked in Cape Girardeau.  Probably 50 or so, I had to eliminate them.

We used to always park the trailer beside our mobile home on the west side to load or unload it.  Since there is now (after about 11 years) once again a mobile home on that spot, we parked in the street to do it.  There was litteraly no traffic on the street and it set there for several hours.

The Park put on a Halloween luncheon on Tuesday.

The park had instigated a text-to-all program this summer.  One time they said to please allow the workers to install the water meters.  Not anything has been said officially about now being charged for water use.  We pay an exhorbitant price for rent which has always included garbage and water.  They are giving very good reasons to get the hell out of this place.  I had to take the siding off and look under our mobile home to find this water meter, which apparently is read by radio waves.

Got both window awnings raised.

Now parking our trailer on the cement pad on east side of us.

Got the weather station put up on the tall pole onour back door.

There was pretty good attendance at the Halloween lunch when they announced the first pot-luck supper was to be the next evening.  There were five of us.  One other couple beside us and a single lady.  Did have a diversity of food and good time, though.  Till next time- LCM
