Bit of rain in Page County

68º with overcast skies - had just under one-tenth of an inch of rain in gauge this morning -- in Clarinda, IA at 10:00 am.

It has been rather dry here lately.  This photo was taken under the Ash tree located between the garage and the shop building.  Shows the size of cracks in the ground.  Don't think this morning's dampness alleviated it a lot.

Has been a few years since I got on a ladder and cleaned the house gutters.  Started with the one on north side of garage.

Spent a few hours with Donna & Burl Penny at LaRhoda & Harold Neher's place yesterday near Hiawatha, Kansas.

Had lunch with them in Highland, Kansas, at The Kirkwood Co. Table & Tap Click HERE for web site
Fairly new building with good service and good food.

Some photos of the Tiger Lilies
at the northeast corner
of the shop building.

Trimmed all the lower branches
from the smaller trees in
the front yard one day.

The school of agriculture's dean of admissions was interviewing a prospective student, "Why have you chosen this career?" he asked.  "I dream of making a million dollars in farming, like my father," the student replied.  "Your father made a million dollars in farming?" echoed the dean much impressed.  "No," replied the applicant. "But he always dreamed of it."
