Windy, humid and hot in Iowa

90 degrees with a "feel like" of a "muggy" 97 degrees and 10 to 20 mph winds out of south at 3:00 pm Monday.

Last weekend we spent many hours ushering the crowds around at the Glenn Miller Festival here in Clarinda.  Full days and fairly decent crowds, nothing like 10 years ago, but good for not having had the festival the last two years.

Have done little more than lawn mowing, and getting travel trailer ready for us to leave in the morning for Wahoo, Nebraska.

Plan to be in Wahoo from Tuesday morning through Sunday morning.

Many of our favorite bluegrass and country bands and entertainers that we follow will be there.

Did our annual cleaning and
re-applying Thompson's Water
Seal to the deck,

For being nearly 30 years old,
our annual treatments have kekpt
it in pretty good shape.

It soaked up pretty good, and covered most of it with two coats.

Phyllis
has been
wanting her recliner
raised about four
inches, so did that
this week.

Will post some pictures of some of the flowers around the place:

Oh, yeah, Sunflowers were bought in Georgia, don't need water.

The math teacher saw that little Johnny wasn't paying attention in class. She called on him and said, "Johnny! What are 4, 2, 28 and 44?"  Little Johnny quickly replied, "NBC, CBS, HBO, and the Cartoon Network!"

It's scary when you start making the same noises as your coffee maker.

 Later, Lum
