Cool has arrived in SW Iowa

67º here in Clarinda, IA at 10:15 am on Thursday--high to be only 81º

This is the new sign put up this summer about the Glenn Miller Birthplace Society Museum.  It is several miles south of Clarinda on Highway 71.

This says something about
todays citizens intelligence.

Came out of the house Tuesday, near noon, to find that my tall grass around the electric box in our front yard had all been cut down.  Was furious and could not get anyone on the phone at the hospital--they own the lot beside us-- finally saw their guy cutting brush in back yard at their house next door yesterday and confronted him.  He said his boss told him to cut it back as they thought it was on their property.  Straightened him out about the fact that the lot line runs north from the taller phone pedestal and the electric box, and the tall grass around it to hide it in the summer is on my property.  He apologized and said he would tell his boss.  Of course, no-one from hospital higher-ups has bothered to contact me.

I looked back in my photos and couldn't find one of my electric box, but the tall grass was similar to the one at my neighbor's house, shown at right.

Took these photos from the recumbent trike at the hospital.  They have a lot of stuff, looks like mostly insulation, near the work on the new surgery room.

They have the red iron up and the roof covered for the new surgery room.

Well, have been home 5 days now.  Getting used to the floor being level and not hearing the roar of the A/C right over our heads, like in the trailer.

Our next planned excursion with it is first week of October to be in Branson, MO

Till next time, Lynn
