Fine Fall Weather

Excellent weather today - Tuesday, October 6, 2020.  Good weather forecast:

Started the insulation and used lumber to make ceiling panels in the wood shop in 2008.

Finished up that ceiling job today.

Cam, Patty, Ashley, and Emily were in Clarinda this weekend, helping with things at her Dad's place.  Patty's mother passed away on Sunday, the 27th of September after having been on hospice at Patty's sister's place in northeast Kansas for about a month.  They had made many trips to Kansas over the last many weeks and Patty was with her mother when she passed.

They left a very old desk with me to glue up to make more solid.

The desk today after many hours of clamped glueing.

Have the drawer in clamps
tonight - when dried
will be last of it.

Few pictures with various clamps holding while the wood glue dried.

With only about three weeks until we head south we are doing some of the annual "getter done before leaving" jobs done.  Fern Baze's memorial will be on the 24th of October and  our kids will all be here for that weekend.  Will head out around 27th or 28th.

Yesterday we did the annual oiling of the wooden back deck.

Today I cleaned the east rain gutter to the wood shop.  Couple years ago I took the rain gutter off the west side -- it was directly under a huge Ash tree and was always full of stuff.  Not any more on that side

Will not be doing quite all the normal "fall things" before we leave this year.  Some good friends are selling their house in Clarinda, but can't leave until mid-March.  So, if their house sells before March they will live in our place to finish out the winter.

More later, Lynn
